Pond Water Testing Kits

Testing kits let the pond owner know what chemicals are lacking and read the pond water's chemical levels. There are numerous types of pond testing kits available online but the most popular method of testing is called the 'dipping technique'. The dipping technique of pond water testing involves dipping a strip into the water, watching it change color, and then comparing it to its closest color on a chemical or pH chart. A new dip strip is required for each chemical test - including pH, nitrates, nitrites, water hardness, salt, oxygen, ammonia and alkalinity. Pond testing kits cost between $8 and $20 online.
