Porch Swings

Porch swings require quite a bit of sway room since many hang suspended from chains from your porch or patio roof. However, porch swings can come with or without frames, in one, two and three-seater styles and in portable hammock designs to fit onto your porch, patio or gazebo. Cedar is the preferred material for porch swings, but teak, pine, wrought iron, steel and wood/cloth combinations are also popular. A basic two-seater porch swing without a back ranges from $125 to $200 online. A loveseat-style cedar porch swing is priced at approximately $375, while a similar design in teak will cost about $400. Do-it-yourself porch swing kits can be purchased online and cost a bit less then a pre-assembled porch swing. A basic cedar do-it-yourself kit will cost approximately $100 online.
