Canopies

Canopies, or sunshades, provide protection from the sun, wind, rain and bugs. Some canopies simply hang overhead; while others have screened walls that zip up to offer added protection against pesky mosquitoes. Canopy frames are typically constructed of metal or galvanized steel. They come in A-frame, cabana styles and arched designs, and in just about every color and pattern imaginable. A tarp made of weather-resistant nylon covers the frame and is held in place with rope, elastic straps or screws. Most canopies come equipped with some type of anchor - be it bungee cords with hooks or ground anchors that you fill with water or sand to weigh them down. Canopies for patio swings start at $60 online; while large canopies for backyard parties or carports can cost up to $300 online.
