Solar Lights

Add beauty to your garden

When someone has worked hard on their garden, it's noticeable. Every element is in a specific place to enhance the garden's beauty. Each statue has its position watching over the flowers. A fountain provides the serenity of flowing water. During the day, the beautiful flora and garden accessories allow for a place of peace. But at night, the garden is hidden unless you have the help of lights, and the energy spent to power outdoor lighting can be expensive. With solar lights, there are no energy costs and you'll be able to admire your garden at night.

How Solar Lights Work

Solar lights work by using energy from the sun. They come with chargeable batteries that store the energy until the time comes to use it. The lights usually turn on automatically once it gets dark enough, but if they don't store enough energy during the day, they might not last through the night. Since no electricity is needed for power, the only cost to the consumer is the initial purchase of the lights and the occasional bulb replacement.

Types of Solar Lights

The type of solar garden lights used will change the effect the light has on the garden. Spotlights will attract the viewer's attention. With statues and special rock formations, a spotlight placed overhead generally looks best. Fountains and flowers are best illuminated when the spotlight is placed below them; this enhances their beauty. Underwater lights can create various reflections and rippling light effects in fountains and ponds. Small lights at ground level provide a soft light when placed behind foliage. Bright lights are better for illuminating water, and soft lights are good for flora designs.

LED Solar Lights

LED solar lights can provide all the benefits of solar lighting while lasting longer than the average solar light bulb. LED lights normally produce a white color with a hint of blue, allowing for prettier illumination around a garden. They also can also be waterproofed and may be a better choice for fountains. LED lights also come in different colors – red, blue and green are the primary colors used in gardens. These colored lights look best when they complement the colors of the flowers and other adornments in the garden.

Dimmer LED lights are good for gardens because they'll make the garden brighter without creating too much light pollution. Dimmer LED lights also use less energy, allowing the lights to last through the entire night.
