Yard Man
Yard Man is produced by MTD Products, a Cleveland company founded in 1932. The core values of the company have always included hard work and customer service. MTD was originally a steel products outlet. In 1958, they produced their first lawn mower. MTD is still a global leader in outdoor power equipment with manufacturing in the U.S., Canada, and Europe. Lawn Boy exclusives include the AutoDrive foot pedal control and FastAttach accessories. The name Yard Man has come to stand for old-fashioned American values. The phrase 'Yard Man' also applies to Brad Hauter, the Guinness World Record holder, who crossed America on a Yard Man to raise awareness for The Great American Cleanup, in 1999. The cross-country trip will be recreated in the summer of 2005.
