Lawn Sweepers
Lawn sweeping is a similar process to lawn dethatching. A lawn sweeper removes the old grass cuttings, twigs and other debris from the surface of your lawn. Lawn sweeping is an effective process if you have a buildup of mulch or other debris on your lawn. Lawn sweepers remove landscaping debris in order to allow the lawn to take in nutrients and water more effectively. Lawn sweepers are available in tow style - which is pulled behind a tractor or lawn mower and collects lawn debris in a cart; or push style - which attaches to the front of the tractor or lawn mower. Lawn sweepers have small wheels or rollers that guide the lawn sweeper over the lawn and as long as your lawn is relatively level; these will clean all the twigs and other accumulated debris. Lawn sweepers are available at your local rental outlet, or they can be purchased for between $120 and $250 online, depending on the size.
