Lawn Boy
Lawn Boy began when the son of Ole Evinrude (inventor of the outboard motor) wanted to expand the company's product line. The introduction of the Lawn Boy lawn mower was a natural progression for a company with an already strong reputation for building small engines. The company has had a long, somewhat winding history intertwined with those of Toro, Evinrude and Johnson & Johnson. The Lawn Boy name signifies durability and simple practicality. More than any other lawn mower company, Lawn Boy is identified with the standard walk behind mower. Lawn Boy has recently introduced the DuraForce, a powerful new mower with 6.5 horsepower in a 2-cycle engine. The engine also offers pollution and noise reduction that exceeds EPA standards.
