Trellises

Trellis is a flat lattice structure that supports climbing plants. Once thick with climbing plants such as ivy, morning glory, or climbing roses, trellis can provide additional privacy over windows and of your backyard or balcony. Bamboo cane is a popular material for trellises because it's very strong and durable as long as it doesn't make contact with soil. However, bamboo trellis can be mounted on stilts to prevent decay. More resilient materials such as wrought iron and powder coated steel are also very commonly used for making trellises and arbors. A trellis can be put in the ground, mounted on a fence, placed up against a wall or arched so that it's free-standing. A trellis can be purchased online for between $15 and $165.
