Walking edgers are designed so that your simply walk along your lawn's border and place your foot on the blade to do the edging. While gas-powered edgers tend to be a little cheaper then electric edgers, the smell of the exhaust can be nauseating. On the other hand, the long cord on an electric-powered edger can be awkward.
